The Presidential Award recognizes and supports early-career amyloidosis researchers who are conducting outstanding research. The International Society of Amyloidosis provides several monetary awards to recognize amyloidosis researchers within 10 years of receiving their terminal degrees who have submitted the best abstracts for each ISA Symposium.
Ten awards are granted each year in which a symposium is held. The awards are unrestricted grants and funds may be applied to research activities, professional development, or other academic needs as determined by the awardee.
2026 Abstract Award
The 2026 Abstract Awards represent an expansion of ISA’s support for early-career academics and their research. Abstract Awards will be awarded based on peer ranking and evaluation of abstracts submitted for the ISA Symposium.
In 2026, twenty abstract awards will be granted. The awards are unrestricted grants and funds may be applied to research activities, professional development, or other academic needs as determined by the awardee.
Travel Grants (Amyloidosis Foundation)
ISA does not provide travel grants but is pleased that our friends at the Amyloidosis Foundation encourage young scientists that show an interest in amyloidosis research, by providing travel grants to physicians and researchers who have completed their medical doctorate or fellowship within the past 10 years. These grants enable participation in the biennial International Symposium on Amyloidosis. Additional information is available here.
