Mission
ISA is the leading global organization dedicated to engaging with scientists, healthcare providers, patients and other stakeholders to provide education, raise awareness and advance research and multidisciplinary clinical practice for all types of amyloidosis.
Vision
Through scientific innovation and global collaboration, we fully understand the pathogenesis of all types of amyloidosis, enabling early diagnosis, effective treatment and, ultimately, prevention.
Everyone suffering from amyloidosis is accurately and timely diagnosed and effectively treated, regardless of geographic location and socioeconomic status.
About
After an informal history beginning in 1967, ISA became an official Society, founded in 2002. It aims to foster international interaction to move the field forward for patients affected with all types of amyloidosis.
Amyloid – The Journal of Protein Folding Disorders is the official journal of ISA. The Society’s amyloid nomenclature for use in scientific literature is published in Amyloid.
ISA facilitates the biennial ISA Symposium on amyloidosis, hosting more than 1000 physicians and scientists from across the world. The Society also holds online educational workshops on cutting-edge topics in the field of amyloidosis.
